Type of project

Contribute to economic inclusion through training in bike mechanics, environmental awareness, and social reintegration, while promoting a circular and inclusive cycling economy in Lyon.

The project supports people in deep social and economic precarity through training in bike mechanics, environmental education, and community-based repair services. It promotes sustainable mobility and prepares for the replication of the model across France.

Target (Disengaged)

People far from employment, including youth, women, and residents of Priority Urban Neighborhoods (PUN). The project addresses disengagement through hands-on training, confidence-building, and providing opportunities to engage in meaningful work.

Science – Based

Based on INSEE, ADEME, and ESSEC impact studies. Tracks CO₂ savings, waste reduction, and social reintegration outcomes. Uses structured evaluation tools and external partnerships (e.g., Ecologic, ESSEC).

Gender

Gender-sensitive approach: 21% of participants are women, with targeted outreach and partnerships to increase female participation in a male-dominated sector.
