Type of project

EXPANDING STUDENTS’ AWARENESS about cause-effect relationships and the effects of climate change, strengthening confidence in scientific results;
EXPANDING TEACHERS’ KNOWLEDGE, especially about scientific facts and their effects on agriculture and food production.
AWARENESS-RAISING OF FAMILIES LIVING IN SMALL SETTLEMENTS AND VILLAGE CITIZENS ON CLIMATE PROTECTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY.

The main goal is to show the climate change and its consequences mainly to North-East hungarian citizens and young adults. Our target group primarly those people, who are less sensible about these themes. The subject areas in particular are sustainable consumption, food production, landscape, soil and water management and last but not least green settlements and household.

Target

Disengaged: Young people, especially high school students and teachers who are participants in agricultural vocational training and those, who live in small villages (5 chosen towns) and small town decision-makers.

Science-based

They would like to strengthen the believe in the scientific approaches, but also the women’s  equality of opportunity in their own communities. This project will be implemented in Hungary’s most underdeveloped geographical area, especially in those towns and target groups, where they least inetrested for the climate politics (these statements have been checked by underpinning attitude tests that have been made by MTA RKK in 2015 and MTVSZ in 2016).

Planned activities

• Planned cooperation with  5 local governments

• Planned cooperation with 3 (Agricultural Technical School and Vocational Training School) educational institutions

• Planned cooperation with at least 2 professional environmental protection and climate organizations
