Planned activities
Soil quality research:
- A minimum of 10 garden plots submitted by owners for research
- Collection of at least 10 soil samples
Workshops:
- Minimum of 3 workshops covering: an introduction to soil quality and its impact on health and food safety, presentation of current research results in an accessible and easy-to-understand format, a practical component, including the creation of simplified soil profile models, an introduction to soil sampling methodology
- Conducted in an interactive way, with the involvement of experts
- Encouraging participants to develop critical thinking about responsible consumption
Closing event:
- A final event in the form of an exhibition combined with a short lecture, open discussion, and presentation of research results, analysis, and expert recommendations.
Action model
- Encouraging garden plot owners to become more conscious consumers by testing the soil in which they grow their vegetables. Using this knowledge as a starting point to raise awareness about the origin and importance of food sources, as well as the impact of environmental conditions on our food.
