Type of project

It aims to monitor air pollution levels in school environments and to improve environmental awareness within the school community. By measuring key atmospheric pollutants and promoting environmental education, the project seeks to increase knowledge about air pollution, raise awareness among teachers and students, and encourage positive behavioural change towards more sustainable and health-conscious practices.

Target (Disengaged)

• 3,960 students from the 8th to the 10th grade;
• 78 teachers from the 8th to the 10th grade;
• 12 Municipal Councils;
• 13 Parish Councils.

Planned activities

• R1. Children, young people and adults in the municipality of Viana do Castelo actively participate in activities aimed at the protection of the coastal environment.
• R2. A sustainable model with continuity and potential for replication in other coastal communities is developed and disseminated.
