Eco Habit Passport: Small Steps, Big Change”

Type of project

Raising awareness about the importance of eco-friendly habits and reinforcing them even after improvements in financial circumstances.

 

 

Target (Disengaged)

Refugee communities and individuals who are disengaged due to economic concerns, a perceived lack of impact, or a sense of disconnection from nature.

Science – Based

Using scientific facts, creating simple infographics with clear language, and incorporating everyday life examples.

Gender

 Encouraging whole families to participate in activities and taking gender considerations into account when designing tasks.

Planned activities

Eco Passport:

  • Creation of an Eco Passport containing 10 environmental tasks for families
  • Participation of at least 200 families, with at least 100 completing a minimum of 5 tasks

Events:

  • Organization of a family eco picnic
  • Practical workshops: “Cook with what you have”, “Second life for clothes”
  • Swap event for clothes, toys, and books

Awareness Activities:

  • Creation of infographics placed at support centers on food waste, textiles, and Fairtrade
  • Weekly communication on Telegram: 20 graphic eco-tips

Action model

  • Raising awareness among individuals using material aid services about the environmental dimension of their actions (such as using second-hand clothing and cooking with leftovers), so that these practices are not perceived solely in economic terms but are continued even after their financial situation improves while also increasing awareness of additional eco-friendly actions they can take.
