Summary of the project
Aware of planet limited resources and the need to make a change of direction in the provincial socioeconomic system, Huelva in Transition, hereinafter HenT, emerges as a forum for discussion on ecological transition and circular economy. Formed by members of civil society, institutions public, academia and private company, HenT began to meet at Desatando SociaLab venue to discuss and build joint solutions based on the demands of the territory. The interdisciplinarity and decentralized character of the members provide the group a great capacity for social impact and advocacy.
In this context, and under the umbrella of the 2030 Agenda, the “Bubble Strategy” is promoted by 3 entities that work models of production and sustainable consumption (SDG 12) among groups of migrant population and at risk of social exclusion, from different approaches and methodologies (see partnership).
This project aims to contribute to guarantee models of responsible production and consumption in Huelva province, through a conscious and participative society. In the first place, the aim is to articulate the actors working on SDG 12 in the province, so that they can participate jointly in the elaboration of the “Bubble Strategy”, while civil society is informed, aware and able to participate in the activities in presence (through 3 territorial “Labs”) and/ or online (through the Virtual Space).

Overall achievements
The organisation Encuentros del Sur has mapped all the initiatives related to SDG 12 in the province of Huelva to establish a common provincial strategy to create a coordinated network of stakeholders dealing with responsible consumption and production, bringing together social, transformative and solidarity economy organisations and administrations that promote these concepts. To develop this strategy, several working sessions were held bringing together different actors and the strategy was publicly presented, as well as being the launching space for the provincial CITIZENS’ NETWORK that leads the practical development of the SDG strategy in the province of Huelva.
