Type of project

The project aims to enhance participation in actions against climate change. The ultimate goal is to create an inclusive civic infrastructure capable of increasing participation and reducing textile waste. The project includes actions such as the establishment of eco-hubs and awareness campaigns to reduce misinformation on climate issues.

Planned activities

• Textile waste recovery: Engaged 300 local residents, mainly women aged 18–30, in textile recycling initiatives, achieving a reduction of at least 1,000 kg of waste per year in the targeted area (Ambito Territoriale N25).
• Youth entrepreneurship support: Provided 20 young women with incubation programs to develop circular micro-enterprises.
• Employment outcomes: Enabled 4 women to gain employment following training and support in micro-entrepreneurship (20% of program participants).
• Public engagement: Organized 3 public events and 3 thematic eco-citizenship tables, reaching a total of 1,500 citizens in Caivano.
• Policy/advocacy output: Drafted the Manifesto for a Just Transition in Caivano to guide local sustainability initiatives.

• It is not a strictly linear process; rather, it encompasses a series of activities designed to trigger positive dynamics in the waste-textile sector and to leverage them for raising awareness, fostering participation, promoting recycling, and creating employment
