Type of project

It aims to contribute to the protection, appreciation and long-term conservation of large trees in both urban and rural contexts, by building the capacity of workers and local communities as Green Giants Ambassadors. Through this approach, the project promotes active civic engagement in safeguarding natural heritage and raising awareness of the ecological, social and cultural value of large trees.

Target (Disengaged)

• 150 workers from 5 companies, and
• 150 citizens from the local community.

Planned activities

• R1.1. Green Giants Ambassadors are trained and actively engaged, applying acquired knowledge in local biodiversity mapping techniques.
• R2.1. Green Giants Ambassadors and members of the local community are sensitised and mobilised towards the protection and appreciation of large trees
