Type of project

The project aims to engage the school and local community in promoting sustainable mobility through educational and civic activities. Target (Disengaged)

General Students and Teachers (secondary schools) and families. Pointed out the “intermittent sustainable” group, who only use public transport or other means out of obligation (e.g., for school or work), and the group that consistently relies on private cars, even when alternatives are available. In both cases, the project aims to address the cultural, informational, and motivational barriers that have emerged.

Science-based

Narrative evidence-based, consistent with research linking mobility, emissions, and public health. Because many people don’t see the connection between their mobility choices and collective well-being, communication will combine scientific and participatory education, using real data, visual storytelling, and direct involvement of local stakeholders.

Gender

Intention to better investigate impact on mobility on both sexes and general attention to ensure inclusion

Action model

  • Capacity building and participation (including citizen science activity) as a key to trigger change (especially students) in habits regarding mobilities. Interesting linkage with public transport enterprises.
