Création et diffusion d’une mallette pédagogique “Climat Normand”

CSO: Les Vagabonds de l’energie
Area: Climate adaptation / Science communication / Education
Location: Normandie – Seine Maritime

Type of project

Project translating GIEC Normand 2 data into a multi-theme pedagogical toolkit (games, interactive tools), tested with target audiences and disseminated in open access through regional networks.

The project focuses on developing a concrete pedagogical tool, with a clear pathway from design to testing and regional dissemination. Its strength lies in creating a reusable and scalable resource (open-source toolkit) that can support long-term awareness and capacity-building across different audiences.

Target (Disengaged)

The project targets audiences not traditionally engaged with climate issues, particularly students in non-environmental fields (e.g. sociology, law, psychology) and secondary school students. By using a playful and interactive format, it creates accessible entry points for publics with low initial interest or perceived relevance.

Science – Based

Based on GIEC Normand 2 across multiple thematic areas (climate, economy, sociology, law, bocage), fully integrated into the content of the toolkit. The involvement of technically trained staff ensures correct use of scientific data, with a strong emphasis on translating complex information into accessible formats.

Gender

The project integrates attention to gender equality in the design of pedagogical tools and avoids discriminatory content, but does not include a specific strategy to address participation or differentiated impacts.

Planned activities

Direct beneficiaries: 120 students (lycée and university), 30 participants from the general public

Indirect beneficiaries: (Unquantified) wider audiences reached through the reuse of the pedagogical toolkit by education and awareness actors

Planned activities / indicators:

  • Creation of a pedagogical toolkit (3–5 tools: games, interactive supports)
  • Testing phase through 8 intervention sessions
  • Improvement of the toolkit based on feedback
  • Dissemination of the toolkit in open access (regional networks)

Action model

  • Translate scientific data into an interactive and accessible pedagogical toolkit, integrating multiple GIEC themes and designed for use across different audiences
  • Test and refine the toolkit through targeted sessions with students and the general public, ensuring usability and relevance of the content
  • Ensure large-scale dissemination through open-access distribution and mobilisation of regional networks, enabling reuse and replication by education and awareness actors
