The project will encourage local industrial SMEs to adopt circular economy practices by raising awareness, offering introductory workshops, and supporting their engagement in collaborative circular initiatives on the territory.
A territorial approach to strengthen the circular economy by raising awareness among local industrial businesses, creating opportunities for inter-enterprise collaboration, and providing introductory support to help SMEs integrate circular practices into their operations.
Target (Disengaged)
The initiative specifically targets industrial SMEs, a group that is typically difficult to mobilize on circular economy issues due to limited time, resources, or internal expertise. The project provides an accessible entry point for these businesses to engage with circular practices that can improve resource efficiency and reduce costs.
Science – Based
Aligned with national and regional circular economy frameworks (e.g., ADEME) and supported by national-level expertise from the National Institute for Circular Economy. Circul’Alpes collaborates with research labs from the Grenoble ecosystem and the University of Grenoble Alpes. Academic input is integrated through thematic roundtables (e.g., critical minerals in 2025) and sectoral studies.
Gender
The project does not have a gender-specific focus, but is open to professionals of all genders.
Planned activities
Direct beneficiaries: Approximately 10 industrial SMEs engaged in the academy, undefined number in inter-company synergy workshops
Planned activities / indicators:
- 1 tailored sensitization tool developed for SMEs
- 3 awareness-raising workshops dedicated to industrial SMEs
- Engagement of local business parks and enterprise federations
- Mobilization pathway created to integrate SMEs into Circul’Alpes programmes (synergy groups and Circul’Alpes Academy)
Action model
- Engage and mobilize industrial SMEs through targeted outreach supported by local business parks and enterprise federations.
- Conduct collective awareness-raising sessions to introduce SMEs to circular economy practices and help them identify opportunities for resource efficiency and synergies.
- Support SMEs to move toward circular practices by providing a tailored sensitization tool and guiding them into Circul’Alpes’ collaborative programmes (synergy groups and Circul’Alpes Academy).
