Awareness raising and revegetation to fight against climate change

Type of project
Granada and its metropolitan area is the city with the third most polluted air in Spain, the Andalusian city where the average temperature has risen the most. Revegetation of urban centres is necessary to improve the air as well as to improve the physical and mental health of citizens.
The goal is raise awareness and sensitise the population to the need to combat climate change with a practical experience of revegetation in two municipalities in the metropolitan area of Granada.
The project implementation is 9 months.
Target (Disengaged)
People linked to primary and secondary schools and the general public through the involvement of local councils in interventions in municipal public spaces.
Science – Based
Providing scientific information in the activities to be carried out and developing with adapted vocabulary.
Gender
Women will give talks, most of the activities are led by women and they are open an mixed in relation to gender.
