Type of project
Support to vulnerable young people in rebuilding confidence and developing career pathways through training in ecological transition jobs
The project addresses both youth exclusion and labour shortages in the ecological transition sector by supporting vulnerable young people (16 – 25 yo). It helps participants rebuild confidence and develop career pathways through hands-on learning, while actively challenging gender stereotypes in green and construction-related jobs to promote more inclusive and diverse professions.
Target (Disengaged)
The project directly targets vulnerable young people from of Priority Urban Neighbourhoods facing school dropout, unemployment and social or administrative barriers. The project addresses disengagement by building confidence, autonomy and access to training and employment opportunities in the ecological transition sector.
Science – Based
The organisation has conducted a national impact assessment and provides shared tools, including a common CRM system, to ensure detailed tracking of participants during and after the programme.
Gender
The project aims to challenge gender stereotypes in traditionally male-dominated professions and promote gender balance, with a target of achieving a 50/50 representation of men and women.
Planned activities
Beneficiaries : 32 young people supported
Planned activities / indicators:
- 80% of supported young people are in a positive trajectory (including positive outcomes) 6 months after completing the programme
- 50% of supported young people achieve a positive outcome 6 months after the programme
- 40% of supported young people enter “green” or “greening” jobs or training 6 months after the programme
Action model
- Career discovery and vocational introduction (with very little theory and mostly hands-on practice)
- Work on building a professional project: supporting young people in developing their career plans, particularly through one-to-one interviews with a vocational integration advisor (CISP). Follow-up support after the programmes is also essential to help prepare the next steps toward employment or training
- Work on soft skills development: helping participants identify, develop, and communicate their professional soft skills (punctuality, autonomy, teamwork, communication, professional attitude, etc.) in a work environment
